one of the biggest icons in internet marketing began her network marketing career in 1987 at a fair in her local community. Ann Sieg walked into a booth to sign up for a facial; little did she know she had just walked into someone’s lead generation system. The lady followed up, Ann signed up and the rest is history.
Her first introduction was more of a direct sales company. Anyone who knows Ann Sieg knows she is very comfortable with sales; however the recruiting she said “was kind of another animal.”
She eventually was recruited into an MLM by her son and they went all out. She modified the company’s material and began educational based presentations. Eventually Ann hit a brick wall; not having enough leads. In the meantime, her son had turned to Affiliate marketing and encouraged her to go on line to find her target market. She did a keyword search, not realizing at the time her keyword search would start a revolution in the internet marketing industry.
Again she fell into someone’s lead generation system, but this company had minimal online marketing education skills. But it opened the door to at least she did not have to be held to the confines of her MLM.
As with a lot of MLM’s the rules are very strict in using their materials only, but Ann’s concern was for her business. She had the temerity to step out side those confines as she said, “I was scared to death, I would get found out, but all I was trying to do was just to make my business survive and grow.”
Ann’s Online Presence
Due to her courage the face of Internet marketing has changed dramatically for those coming on line. We now see how to promote our companies to generate leads and build marketing empires. Her groundbreaking book the Renegade Network Marketer has given thousands of frustrated marketers a tried and true scientific method to build a lead generating machine. This book also offers a network marketing affiliate program for anyone that purchased the book.
Her second book The Attraction Marketers Manifesto, to which she attributes one of her best works, addresses the principles and technical to put an MLM business online.

Today, we will talk about “effective email copywriting”. Effective is the most important part of the concept of effective email copywriting. You can write tons of emails, but if no one opens them to read them what’s the point?
David Garfinkel (Ann Sieg, the author of The Renegade Network Marketer is a client of his copywriting coaching practice.) teaches that there are Five Key Components of Effective Email Copywriting:
1. A Compelling Subject Line – Unless the sender is someone I know and trust, the subject had better be pretty interesting to get me to open the email.
2. A Compelling Opening – This keeps your MLM email lead reading your message.
3. Personalized Conversational Tone – The most effect email copywriting seems like you are just sitting down in a local coffee house talking to an old friend. It makes your reader feel like you are really just talking to him or her. Of course, they know that you sent this to tons of other people on your list. Use people’s names often. It enhances this effect.
4. Focus, Clarity, and Conciseness – Once you have your conversation down pat, edit your email. You want to get your point across quickly while still being entertaining and informative.
5. It Asks for Action – You tell your mlm email lead what to do next. Don’t assume they know what to do. Their idea might be to delete the email. Ask them to go to your website, comment on your blog, tweet the post, or send it to a friend..

things we do to build our MLM online business’s…and that is 50% true.

talking about is your MINDSET.
Or in other words…the level of ‘Internal Development’ that has occurred within you is what determines your level of success and the ease with which you achieve it.
You see, as most of us figure out…being an entrepreneur is
NOT an easy thing to do. It takes REAL commitment. REAL
patience. REAL endurance. And a fire inside, in the belly,
that will NOT be extinguished no matter what.

on the inside…that allows them to bulldoze through adversity
and stop at nothing to create success.

Successful people know how to FIND SOLUTIONS.
We all have problems, it’s no mystery. There are things
that we all have to figure out ourselves.
But its the successful people who are the ones who STOP
AT NOTHING to figure it out! This may be learning how to
generate an endless supply of prospects to consistently
build your business with.
Or it may be figuring out why you’re so darn afraid every time
you pick up the phone to call a new lead that just came in.
The point is…if we’re not developing the qualities, traits,
and behaviors that it ACTUALLY takes to be successful…we are
going to have a much harder time actually doing it!
Success doesn’t just float into most peoples laps. It’s something
that is deserved. It’s the result of the MASSIVE work you
do both inside and outside. And when those two factors are
in alignment…it is FAR easier to build ANY business. Network
marketing included.
So here’s my advice today, observe just ONE limitation
you currently see within yourself or about your MLM online business.
Observe just one thing that is holding you back, or causing
you not to achieve the success you KNOW you can create. And
then take an action step towards DEFUSING that limitation or
solving that certain problem in your business.
Do this enough…and on a consistent basis…and you will soon
find you’re growing leaps and bounds both financially and
within! And to me…the latter always comes first.
There is truly a never ending amount we can grow and achieve
if we really want it.

What is Affiliate PPC?
An Affiliate PPC is a program where an affiliate receives a commission for each click they refer to a merchant’s website. The Affiliate PPC commission generally ranges from, 01 cent to .25 cents per click. Normally there is very high conversion ratio since visitors need only click on a link to earn the affiliate a commission.
The Advantages of placing an Affiliate PPC programs on your website are:
- They are easier to maintain, just add rotating banners to your site.
- You are paid even if your visitor does not make a purchase
- Each banner is generally targeted toward a very general audience
- You are receiving your commission with each click.
- Some companies have a two tier program, in which they pay you when you refer other webmasters to their site.
The Disadvantages of Placing an Affiliate PPC Program on your website are:
- They pay less than network marketing affiliate programs.
- The cap percentages are generally low 3-4%
- The company can cancel you at any time
- They cannot be promoted in email, so if you target your audience through email Affiliate PPC would not be your obvious choice
- Some companies simply are not operating with integrity and simply will not pay
The Obvious Advantage
The obvious advantage is ease of maintenance and receiving a commission every time the banner ad on your site is clicked. This of course does not mean you can spend your day clicking your banner adds to receive a higher commission. That would be cheating.
Therefore the need for certain restriction had to be set in place for those who choose to commit fraudulent practices in order to protect those of us that choose the honest way. The rule is normally one click per day from one IP address.
That does not mean that only one person per day can click on your banner ad, there are thousands of IP addresses. IP is your Internet Protocol Address, so you can see if you have hundreds of visitors your pennies can add up quickly.
For instance let’s say you have a $30.00 cap before you receive your commission and the PPC is $.20 per click, which means you will need 150 clicks in order to get paid.
Now don’t go thinking you are just getting started with your Internet Business and you feel 150 visitors clicking on you banner ad is a high number. Look at it like this; if all you have to do is place the banner on your site and leave it, your only work now is to check on the company to make sure you get your pay. How hard is that, it is almost like getting free money.
Unfortunately not all companies are credible you need to do your homework.
A common practice on pay-per-click program operating agreements is a statement that the program has the right to cancel a web site’s membership at any time, without notice, if they suspect an affiliate of cheating. This is legally in their right, as this practice protects their advertisers AND legitimate affiliate web sites from cheaters. However, it is important that you know what guidelines they have set up, and how not to lose your membership if you are only using their program legitimately. ClickQuick
ClickQuick is an excellent watchdog for credible programs reviews and ratings.
It is up to you to decide if Affiliate PPC banner ads will be an assist to your site. The pay out is low compared to a network marketing affiliate program, but your maintenance is higher with affiliate programs.
A win, win is to do both making sure you do your home work. Not all banner ad networks are the same; to suggest a few: Burst, FocusIn, eAds, BannerSpace, Casale Media, DirectLeads, Penny Web, Fee-Banners, the list goes on and on.
Note: make sure you check out the credentials of the company before you being your banner campaign, you are in this business to make money, not to give it away.

Phone consulting is one of the most important aspects you cannot afford to leave out of your MLM business practice. Of all the components of your network marketing or MLM business, phone consulting is the Achilles heel of your network communication.
It is a bilateral necessity where you consult your downlines and they you, and your uplines consult you and you them. Without this communication your business is doomed to fail. Because of the physical distances between you and your down- and upline, phone consulting is likely the only personal contact you will have with them – at least for a while.
As a business owner you need to plan ahead.
Business Duplication? Naturally.
Your MLM Business plan shows foresight of how you will be growing your enterprise over the next year or so. You’ll also have to teach your downline how to duplicate your business so they in turn can duplicate theirs and so on. Here is where phone consulting becomes important: your downline will ask you questions pertaining to your business and product and it’s your responsibility to make it all understandable and clear to them.
Generally the MLM companies produce telephone scripts your upline suggests you memorize, rehearse and cite to your downline at set times. I remember in an MLM of past my upline suggesting to “create a sense of urgency and not give them [my prospects] time to ask questions.”
Another more advanced MLM company gave me a script that was a guideline to follow as a basis for a telephone consultation. It was informative and had suggestive points to go over with my prospects that would coax him or her to eventually buy the service I offered. I was very uncomfortable doing this, because, still, I had to do pretty much all the talking and could not get to hear my prospects concerns.
The consultative approach works in some cases, but notice that a consultant isn’t necessarily concerned with the prospect’s perspectives. A consultant is an advisor and will advise you based on the questions you pose. Often you may leave a conversation with an consultant more confused than you entered.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I have problems to find the right questions to ask, especially about a subject that is about a completely new concept. I know darn well that I don’t completely understand the subject. Without knowing what to ask to get clarification I end up wandering in unknown territory for a long time. Then, trying to figure it out myself, I get more and more confused, frustrated and overwhelmed.
Now I’ll show you another approach that will guide you to ask the right questions and then, step by step, will lead you to your goal. It’s called: coaching.
MLM Online Coaching versus the Consultative Approach
What a coach does is more than what a consultant proposes: a good coach will listen to you; I mean REALLY listen to you, until you are completely understood and heard. Your coach will coax you to ask the right questions and will give you the answers that will most benefit you in regards to your network marketing business opportunity.
Your coach will help put your MLM business plan together, and teach you how to use the internet to set up your MLM lead generation tool. This tool will be your network marketing business’s most valuable asset: for your MLM, email lists are crucial.

Earning residual income online is so often confused with passive income, they are mistakenly interchanged to the point the true meaning of each gets lost altogether. There is such a simple distinction between the two, it is simply:

You may have a tendency to believe the income then becomes passive, just because it automatically comes up line. I am here to say if you approach your network passively you will soon find you have no network.

Tendencies are to believe when building you mlm online your responsibilities to teach or coach your network will become an automated effort. Wrong! You are still responsible for the network, and the network still grows because of you efforts, both online as well as offline. No efforts, no downline, no residual income. You must “Prime the Residual Pump.” The down line requires your attention in order to continue to grow to their fullest potential.
How do we prime the pump to earn passive Income as well as residual Income while passively growing a success line?
Your success line will grow from your efforts by giving valuable information to those that frequent your blog, website, or lead capture page. You are no longer dripping your plan you are flowing with other products to complement your mlm company and those products are growing a passive income.
Many MLM’ers partner with affiliates by using the very products that taught them to build a business on line.
Some of those products are:
• A good instructional Program/System
• Domain Name
• Domain Host
• Blog/website
• Auto responder/email
• Out source your marketing
• Continued education membership
As you go forward, in your marketing, you will add more tools to your marketing funnel, which means more money in you pocket. Plus the potential of presenting your MLM Company to your growing list. As they opt into your company then your residual income will grow.
Building a good network marketing affiliate program will earn you a great passive income while branding you as the expert in your field. Therfore affiliate programs are passive, MLM downlines are residual and will need your constant care.
There is no confusion in earning residual income online vs. passive income online.
Passively pulling money in like a magnet while you are building your down line passionately, where is the confusion? That is Affiliate Marketing at its best “!!
